APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If you use Recording Studio to record the pub.publish:publish
  service it can cause the webMethods server to slow down and
  require a re-start.
  
  The following error is seen multiple times in the webMethods
  server log:
  
  2014-05-22 11:39:00 CDT [ISP.0090.0004E]
  com.greenhat.wm.pipeline.GHTRecordingFilter.process -- Exception
  occurred when publishing the input event record for service
  pub.publish:publish : com.wm.app.b2b.server.ServiceException:
  java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException: StackOverflowError
  
  WORKAROUND:
  
  Do not record the pub.publish:publish service.

Problem summary

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been resolved in Rational Integration Tester
  version 8.6.0.1.  Users are no longer able to record the
  pub.publish:publish service which avoids the stack overflow.
  Users should have no need to record this service.
