Error description

  • Error Description: After importing an ARXML file, the model
elements in a diagram disappear. It seems the existing elements
in the model are deleted and replaced by the imported model
    elements.

One would expect, that the imported model elements are merged
    into the existing model.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Import ARXML file
    2. Create any diagram (say IBD) using the imported model
    elements
    3. Save model
    4. Import the same ARXML file

After step 4 the diagram is empty. Find attached the used ARXML
    file.

Workaround: This problem occurs if the Internal Behavior Diagram
    is created under the project.
The merge policy only works for elements in the scope of
    ARPackages hence the disappearance
of elements. You should create the Diagram within the scope of
an ARPackage and all elements in the Diagram will not be deleted
    after the import.
