Error description

  • In RDz v9.0 whenever the first line(s) of a PLI program contain
    preprocessor statements instead of a proc statement they are all
    flagged as errors
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • There is a defect in the RDz PL/I parser that causes the parser
    to support a very limited set of directives before the first
    procedure declaration.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed defect in PL/I parser that did not support several
    preprocessor statements outside the context of a procedure.
    
    The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
    IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.0.1.3 Fix Pack which
    is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
