Error description

  • Rational Developer for System z LPEX Editor Rectangle mark
(using ALT+R) block Copy and Paste Function seems visually
correct but is causing garbage after save.

This results in loss of source code information. The overlay is
not visible in the RDz editor window until after save, quit and
    reopening the member.

    Reproduction scenario:
    RDz 8.5.1.4 client
    1. open the member SAMPLE1 and SAMPLE2 in LPEX-Editor
        for System z
    2. In SAMPLE2 position the cursor on the left upper corner
(Line 3, Col 4) of the rectangle you want to copy
    3. Press ALT+R
    4. Place the cursor on the right lower corner (Line 5, Col 51)
of the rectangle you want to copy
    5. Press ALT+R
    6. Press CTRL+C to copy the rectangle
    7. In SAMPLE1 position the cursor on the left upper corner
(Line 3, Col 4) where you want to insert the rectangle
    9. Press ALT+Z to paste the rectangle
    10. Observe everything looks fine
    11. Press CTRL+S to save the file
    12. Close the member
    13. Re-open the member in the editor or TSO

Observe that the resulting member contains garbage that overlaid
    the source code.

Editor is LPEX, in stream mode
