Error description
In Rational Developer for System z (RDz) V8.5.1.4, LPEX editor jumps around after OpenDeclaration. First, LPEX opens with the variable highlighted, which is useful to locate the variable quickly. Then after a fraction of a second, the LPEX editor deselects the variable and scrolls the editor to a different position.
Local fix
Problem summary
Copybooks were erroneously downloaded twice when opening a declaration, thus retriggering the update of LPEX's profiles and causing the flickering/deselection issues. This has been resolved. This APAR is being closed FIN with concurrence from the submitting customer. This means that a fix to this APAR is expected to be delivered from IBM in a release which is being developed at the time that the APAR was closed. The latest release of the product to exit development at the time this APAR was closed was: Rational Developer for System z V9.0.1.5.
