APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In Rational Developer for System z (RDz), selecting an EXEC SQL
  statement of a COBOL source containing line numbers in columns
  1-6 and issuing Run SQL option does not provide any results.
  

Local fix

• - Remove line numbers from the source before running Run SQL
  option by issuing the following command in the ISPF editor SET
  NUM OFF STD COBOL or,
  - Exclude line number selection from the first line of EXEC SQL
  statement when highlighting the statement
  

Problem summary

• Run SQL menu item does not appear when line numbers are in the
  source before the EXEC SQL statement
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.0.1.3 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
