• Attempts to modify a My webMethods task in IBM Rational
  Integration Tester (RIT) fail with the following error:

  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  
  1. Create a My webMethods connection
  
  2. Create a test with a Retrieve Task action and a Modify Task
  action.
  
  3. Configure the Modify Task action to input some values to the
  task.
  
  4. Run the test
  
  
  EXPECTED RESULTS:
  
  The test runs successfully.
  
  ACTUAL RESULTS:
  
  The test fails with the above error.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
  * On some versions of myWebMethods (certainly 8.2) attempting  *
  * to modify a myWebMethods task from within Rational           *
  * Integration Tester results in a ClassCastException being     *
  * displayed in RIT.                                            *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  * Upgrade to version 8.5.1.3 or later of Rational Integration  *
  * Tester                                                       *

Problem conclusion

• This problem was caused by changes to the myWebMethods
  packaging.  It was resolved in version 8.5.1.3 of Rational
  Integration Tester
