Error description
Rational Developer for System z - RDz - v8.5 When a user submits a job using RDz client it will intermittently fail presenting the user with a pop dialog stating: Check JES to verify: Command Failed (2005). In the user's ?workspace?\.log file, the following error occurs: !ENTRY com.ibm.etools.zos.subsystem.jes 4 0 !MESSAGE severity=8, msgNo=2005, message=Command failed. Although this problem happens intermittently, once it occurs, most users see this message. The jobs do get submitted. *************************************************************** Local fix:

Problem conclusion
01.Wrong idle timeout value was checked, resulting in random failures. Problem fixed. 02.PROC name is added. 03.JMON now passes DSID to the client, who shows it in the table view. This requires a v91 client 04.enhancement to support 8-character userid
