Error description

  • IBM Db2 for z/OS Analytics Accelerator with IBM Integrated
Synchronization may still issue utility action messages on
unknown tables after installing PH43262 / UI79242 .

Local fix

  • Install IBM Db2 for z/OS Analytics Accelerator V7.5.8 to ignore
such utility actions for unknown objects.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
* USERS AFFECTED:                                              *
* All Db2 12 for z/OS users who either use                     *
* IBM Db2 Analytics Accelerator with IBM                       *
* Integrated Synchronization or IBM Db2 for                    *
* z/OS Data Gate with PTF UI78296 for APAR                     *
* PH40937 applied.                                             *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
* In certain conditions IBM Integrated                         *
* Synchronization writes error messages                        *
* when attempting to disable query                             *
* acceleration or setting tables into                          *
* error that are not replicated or not                         *
* even accelerated.                                            *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
* Apply corrective PTF when available                          *
****************************************************************
In certain conditions utility and alter log records may be sent
to the accelerator causing these messages for non replicated
tables. The DSNX881I messages may contain:
  /W2025/ or /W2027/ Setting table Unknown ...
  /W2045/ During the processing of a utility action ...
  Error while asynchronously reading dbidobidlist for UTLR...

Problem conclusion

  • Code has been changed to avoid further situations where log
records for non replicated tables may be sent via IBM
Integrated Synchronization.
