APAR status

Error description

  • working with WebSphere eXtreme Scale Liberty Deployment
    v8.6.1.3.
    Attempt tomodify the XIO timeout (the default is 30
    secs)
    modifying the server.xml file of catalog/container
    servers in this way:
    
    <xioEndpoint
    publishHost="washosta.it056553w510" port="4810"
    timeout="60"/>
    
    in order to set the timeout to 60
    seconds.
    
    When the servers start, the following error
    occurs:

Local fix

Problem summary

    ****************************************************************

    XIO timeout is set to default value despite being set
    in server.xml. ClassCastException is also logged.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Extremescale code has been modified to avoid the
    ClassCastException.
