Error description

  • Batch controller beans implemented in EJB 3.x may result in
a CORBA.MARSHAL Incompatibility error when being called
    through their remote interface.

    When an implementation of the

attempt to make a remote call to the bean:

Problem conclusion

  • WebSphere Application Server provides RMIC-generated Stub
classes for the BatchController and compute-intensive
CIController interfaces, which are not compatible with the EJB
3.x style generated Tie classes. The EJB container was updated
to generate a Tie for the BatchController and
CIController implementations that is compatible with the
RMIC-generated Stubs. The error will no longer occur.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 8.5.5.17 and 9.0.5.3. For more information, see
