Error description

  • IHS and Plugin 9.0.5.2 and 8.5.5.17 have moved to a level of
GSKit that is only provided in MSVS2013 form. IHS and Plugin
installation should be blocked if MicroSoft Visual Studio 2013
Runtime is not detected.

Currently only WARNING message is showed if MicroSoft Visual
Studio 2013 Runtime is not installed. However, IHS and
Plugin 9.0.5.2 and 8.5.5.17 have moved to a level of
GSKit that is only provided in MSVS2013 form. Installation has
to be blocked if MicroSoft Visual Studio 2013 Runtime is not
installed.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The fix is to block the installation if MicroSoft Visual
Studio 2013 Runtime is not detected.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 9.0.5.2 and 8.5.5.17.  Please refer to the Recommended
