APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When restarting ADI in Windows Server, sometimes Elasticsearch
fails to restart with the following error:
The system cannot find the Registry key for service
adi-elasticsearch
Loading Configuration failed
The system cannot find the file specified.
Commons Daemon procrun failed with exit value:
2 <Failed to load configuration>
The system cannot find the file specified.

  • N/A

Problem summary

  • In Windows Server, if an elasticsearch service reinstalls
before the previous service is removed completely, error is
thrown which causes the installation to fail.

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed by implementing a solution that waits for the previous
Elasticsearch service to be removed completely before
performing another install.
