    ****************************************************************
Currently, certain utility executions enacted on a table with
the DATA CAPTURE CHANGES attribute or on a table space which
contains such a table will cause the data in the replication
target tables to be inconsistent until a refresh is done.
This APAR introduced a new Db2 subsystem parameter,
UTILS_BLOCK_FOR_CDC, which when enabled will prohibit certain
utilities from running. When a utility is blocked, MSGDSNU187I
will be issued by the restricted utilities at execution time.
    New Subsystem Parameter:
The UTILS_BLOCK_FOR_CDC subsystem parameter specifies whether
to block the utilities below for tables with replication
enabled (i.e. a table has DATA CAPTURE CHANGES attribute) or
table spaces, which contain such tables.
        1. CHECK DATA with DELETE YES LOG NO
        2. LOAD WITH SHRLEVEL NONE or REFERENCE
        3. RECOVER with TOLOGPOINT, TORBA, TOCOPY, TOLASTCOPY,
           TOLASTFULLCOPY
        4. REORG TABLESPACE with DISCARD
        5. REPAIR with LOCATE DELETE
    Valid options are:
        1. NO: It allows Db2 utilities to update replicated
tables or table spaces with replication enabled.
        2. Yes: It blocks Db2 utilities from updating replicated
tables or table spaces with replication enabled.
    Acceptable values: NO or YES
    Default: NO
Update: option 34 on panel DSNTIPB
    DSNZPxxx: DSN6SPRM UTILS_BLOCK_FOR_CDC
    Data sharing scope: Member
    z/OSMF variable: UBCDC
    Online changeable: Yes
    New utility error message:
DSNU187I csect-name utility-name UTILITY IS NOT ALLOWED ON
TABLE SPACE database-name.table-space-name BECAUSE IT CONTAINS
A TABLE WITH THE DATA CAPTURE CHANGES ATTRIBUTE
    Explanation:
Db2 subsystem parameter, UTILS_BLOCK_FOR_CDC, is set to YES so
the identified utility is not allowed on a table with the DATA
CAPTURE CHANGES attribute or on a table space which contains
    such a table.
These utilities are prohibited when UTILS_BLOCK_FOR_CDC is set
    to YES.
        1. CHECK DATA with DELETE YES LOG NO
        2. LOAD with SHRLEVEL NONE or REFERENCE
        3. RECOVER with TOLOGPOINT, TORBA, TOCOPY, TOLASTCOPY,
           or TOLASTFULLCOPY
        4. REORG TABLESPACE with DISCARD
        5. REPAIR with LOCATE DELETE
    utility-name
Utility that is blocked when UTILS_BLOCK_FOR_CDC is set to YES.
    System action
If OPTIONS EVENT(ITEMERROR,SKIP) was specified, processing
will continue for other objects in the list. Otherwise, the
    utility will terminate with RC8.
    User response
If the utility execution is required, contact the Db2 system
    administrator.
    Severity
    8 (error)
