Error description

  • When cross component trace is enabled and attempts to trace
sib-destination parameters, some of which are not set, a
NullPointerException will occur. Below is an example
    stack-trace:

    Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException
    at
    com.ibm.ws.sib.comms.client.ConsumerSessionProxy.receiveWithWait
    (ConsumerSessionProxy.java:794)
    at
    com.ibm.ws.sib.ra.impl.SibRaConsumerSession.receiveWithWait(SibR
    aConsumerSession.java:219)
    at
    com.ibm.ws.sca.internal.async.sib.SIBAsyncHandler.receiveMessage
    (SIBAsyncHandler.java:895)
    at
    com.ibm.ws.sca.internal.async.sib.SIBAsyncHandler.receiveRespons
    e(SIBAsyncHandler.java:350)

Local fix

  • The NullPointerExceptions can be avoided, when Cross-component
    trace will be disabled
