APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • 8.0.0.15 contains a fix for a memory leak problem, where the
memory leak was caused by the FacesContext object not being
released in certain circumstances. The fix added code to assure
that the FacesContext would be released after every request.
PH04519 retains that FacesContext release logic, so it makes
since that the problem occurs with or without PH04519.

Local fix

  • The best solution would be to change your bean logic so as to
process the event during JSF lifecycle execution, if that would
be possible. Note that during JSF lifecycle execution, you
should be able to obtain the EventRequest object from the
FacesContext, which would allow you to access the event payload.

    ****************************************************************
The IBM JSF Portlet Bridge contained a programming error that
caused the list of cookies returned to the application to
always be null, so that the application is unable to retrieve
its cookies. Depending on the application, this may result in
    improper behavior or an exception.
