    After adding a new property in the z/OS build definition, RDz
    9.1.1.3 does not correctly generate the USER BUILD JCL.

    Property ${inifile} is added in the following command line:

    EXEC 'JAZZ.CNTL.REXX(TESTJCL)' '${inifile}
    ${team.enterprise.scm.fetchDestination} @{source.member.name}
    ${buildDefinitionId} ${buildLabel}
    ${team.enterprise.scm.resourcePrefix}
    @{source.project} ${com.ibm.ret.build.wisubsetauto.wis}'

    USER BUILD generated JCL:

    //SYSTSIN  DD *
    ISPSTART CMD(EXEC 'JAZZ.CNTL.REXX(TESTJCL)'
    'JAZZ.CNTL.PARMS(TESTINI) -
    /JAZZ/EME/BUILD/USER_BUILD BBB01B0 zOS_Build_RDz 20190115-025701
    JAZZ.RTC.RDZ AA ')
    //*

    Line
    /JAZZ/EME/BUILD/USER_BUILD BBB01B0 zOS_Build_RDz 20190115-025701
    JAZZ.RTC.RDZ AA ')
    is over than 80 characters and there are mismatched quotes.

    ISPD189 Mismatched quotes

Local fix

Problem summary

  • User Build JCL is not generated properly when new property is
    added in the build definition.

Problem conclusion

  • User Build JCL is not generated properly when user data is too
    long. The code has been changed to correctly split the user
    data, while retaining its integrity, so that the JCL can be
    correct.
