• Closed as program error.

Error description

• You may encounter an issue where you observe "Error opening EMF
  Resource" when attempting to request the compare editor during
  review of change set history. The issue was found while working
  with a model under source control (i.e RTC) and comparing
  between change set versions.
  
  
  In the workspace .log file, you may observe a stack trace
  similar to the following:
