Error description
When attempting to create chargeback groups for the IBM Rational License Key Server (RLKS) Administration and reporting tool (ART), creating chargeback groups will fail with a general error if the users and/or groups use custom LDAP objects.
Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: * * Users configuring ART to work with LDAP server * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: * * If the LDAP server defines custom class objects to define * * users, the ART fails to parse the custom class objects and * * does not recognize them as valid users. Thus, a LDAP-based * * Chargeback group cannot be created with such users as its * * members. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * ****************************************************************
Problem conclusion
A thorough check has been introduced to allow ART to accept custom class objects as valid properties of the user DNs. All other combinations of custom class objects and user filters have been extensively tested and strengthened.
