PH01480: MULTIPLE SUBSCRIBE ACTIONS ON THE SAME FILE FAIL

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Test created in earlier versions of RIT now fail.
  If a test has an iterator with a File Subscribe action inside
  it, the File transport polling mechanism slows down the loop.
  Timeouts can then occur as the default polling time is every 10
  seconds.
  
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  
  Create a File transport.
  Create a test with an iterator with 10 iterations.
  Add a Subscribe inside the iterator to read a text file.  Keep
  the default 5 seconds timeout.
  Run the test.
  
  EXPECTED RESULTS:
  
  The loop executes rapidly.
  
  ACTUAL RESULTS:
  
  The loop is slow to execute and timeouts occur.

Problem conclusion

• In 9.2.1 a new option is present that allows the behavior to be
  configured.
