Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application *
    *                  Server                                      *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Weld does not call setAttribute *
    * for modified conversation and session *
    *                      scoped beans                            *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    Weld would only update session and conversation scoped beans
    once per session or conversation which could result in stale
    data. See https://issues.jboss.org/browse/WELD-1130

Problem conclusion

  • A new property -
    org.jboss.weld.context.resetHttpSessionAttributeOnBeanAcces -
    was introduced to weld. When set weld will push session and
    conversation beans to the HTTPSession every time they are
    accessed.
