Error description

  • Message DSNE931E or DSNE932I may not be issued or incorrect
    
    When the PACKAGE name started with "DSN", warning message
    DSNE932I was not issued as expected;
    When the PACKAGE name include bad character like "%", error
    message DSNE931E was not issued or the error message did not
    correctly point out the bad character.
    eg:
    1)Waring message DSNE932I should been issued for the following
    statement, but it did not
    BIND PACKAGE("DSNbad") ACTION(REPLACE) MEMBER(APPLX)
    DSNT232I  -DB2A SUCCESSFUL BIND FOR
               PACKAGE = STLEC1.DSNbad.APPLX.()

    *                      for PACKAGE parameter but with wrong    *
    *                      symbol value during a BIND PACKAGE      *
    *                      command.                                *

    *                      issued during a BIND PACKAGE command    *
    *                      when the PACKAGE(collection-id) was     *
    *                      specified with a value starting with    *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When a BIND PACKAGE command was submitted with an invalid value
    for PACKAGE(collection-id) or MEMBER(dbrm-member-name), the
    error message DSNE931E - DSNECP54 keyword-name (parameter_value)
    CONTAINS AN INVALID SYMBOL (symbol) may not be issued as
    expected.
    
    When a BIND PACKAGE command was submitted with an invalid value
    for PACKAGE(collection-id), the error message DSNE931E -
    DSNECP54 keyword-name (parameter_value) CONTAINS AN INVALID
    SYMBOL (symbol) was issued expectedly but the symbol value in
    message is incorrect.
    
    When a BIND PACKAGE command was submitted with a value starting
    with "DSN" in double quote marks for PACKAGE(collection-id),
    the warning message DSNE932I - WARNING, ONLY IBM SUPPLIED names
    SHOULD BEGIN WITH DSN was not issued as expected.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Db2 code has been changed to correct the aforementioned
    problems.
