PH00304: WAS LIBERTY NOT RESPECTING MAX CONNECTION POOL SETTING

Error description

Max connections for datasource connection pool is set to
500,
however, more then 800 connections are used.
Since multiple WAS Liberty servers are running with that
problem
it leads to overload and outage of database server.
This was discovered on 17.0.0.4.

There are windows where, if a thread is interrupted, extra
connections can be obtained beyond the value specified by
maximum connections.

Problem conclusion

Code has been fixed so that maximum connections is honored even
when threads are interrupted.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
pack 9.0.0.9, 8.5.5.15 and 18.0.0.3.  Please refer to the
