    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
    * Determines whether VTAM monitors interfaces for overdue *
    * adapter interrupts. If an overdue adapter interrupt is *
    * detected, VTAM will drive a virtual interrupt in an effort *
    * to prevent a stall condition (AIMON support). Additional *
    * AIMON enhancements made to existing support for QDIO and *
    * IQDIO. For z/OS Communications Server V2R1 support is now *
    * added for both QDIO and IQDIO (Hipersockets). And for *
    * Communications Server V2R2 support is now added for IQDIO *
    * (Hipersockets).                                              *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    * Apply PTF                                                    *

    Additional AIMON support and enhancements to existing QDIO
    support for Communications Server V2R2.

Problem conclusion

  • AIMON support enhancements. With this function VTAM will monitor
    interfaces for overdue adapter interrupts. If an overdue adapter
    interrupt is detected, VTAM will drive a virtual interrupt in an
    effort to prevent a stall condition.
