  * Remove the SMS VIT option as a default. Given the infrequent *
  * need for the SMS VIT option during problem diagnosis it is   *
  * often not worth the CPU cost of the SMS option.              *

  Given the infrequent need for the SMS VIT option during problem
  diagnosis, it is often not worth the CPU cost of the SMS option
  for the slight improvement in the first failure data capture.

• Once this PTF is applied it is no longer necessary to manually
  disable SMS (the update from this PTF will take care of this).
