LO91819: MAIL FILES WITH SPECIAL CHARACTERS IN THE NAME MAY NOT BE ABLE TO SYNC DATA TO TRAVELER DEVICES
Closed as program error.
When the name of a user's mail database contains a special character (e.g. mail/téstuser.nsf), the user may be able to add his or her account to a Traveler-supported mobile device, but may not see any data sync to the device. The Traveler server has been updated to ensure that mail files with special characters are processed correctly, and that future changes to these databases are properly detected.
Customers may set the notes.ini parameter NTS_PUSH_CHANGEDDB_MINIMUM_BUILDNUMBER to 1000 (or any value higher than the current Domino build level) on a standalone Traveler server, or on all Traveler servers in an HA pool. When checking for changes to users' mail files, this notes.ini value will cause Traveler to retrieve the list of *all* changed databases from Domino on a given server, rather than just the list of monitored databases that have changed. This will ensure that changes are successfully detected for users whose mail files contain special characters.
DBCS Characters in the mail file may prevent sync of data for that user via IBM Traveler.
The IBM Traveler server has been updated to correctly handle this scenario.
