LO90764: UNEXPECTED BEHAVIOR SENDING MAIL THAT VIOLATES A DOMINO ROUTER/SMTP RULE FROM A TRAVELER DEVICE
Direct links to fixes
Closed as program error.
If a user attempts to send mail from a Traveler device that violates a Domino Router/SMTP "don't accept message" rule, then the mail will correctly not be delivered to any recipients. However, a copy of the mail will be saved to the sender's Sent folder even though the mail was never actually sent. Furthermore, because the message may remain in the device Outbox, each time the device attempts to resend this mail, another copy of the message will be saved to the Sent folder. With this fix, the sender will now receive either (depending on device type): 1) A popup stating that the mail was rejected by a mail rule, and return to the compose-screen to address the violation and try resending the mail 2) A mail stating that the message was rejected by a mail rule, with a copy of the mail saved to the Drafts folder so that the user can address the violation and try resending the mail
Change the action of the Domino rule from "reject" to "delete"
Incorrect behavior when trying to send a mail that violates Domino mail rules.
The IBM Traveler server has been updated to correctly handle this scenario.
This fix will be included in IBM Traveler 18.104.22.168 and later releases. For the lastest available Traveler Server release see this technote: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24019529
