APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Not a very common scenario, but if the chair of a repeating
event changes the location of the 1st instance, then later
reschedules the 1st instance the end users will see all ghosted
entries showing the updated location. This only happens if the
end user has not processed the invitations and is viewing the
ghosted entries on an iOS device using the native iOS calendar
    application.

Local fix

  • Process the invitations or use the IBM Verse application for
    iOS.

Problem summary

  • Fairly rare scenario seen when using Apple native calendar
application and primarily relying on Ghosted events vs
    processing events.

Problem conclusion

  • The IBM Traveler server was updated to handle the scenario with
    ghosting correctly.
