APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • DBAccountsCheck would not show or repair the account table
duplicate issues if the user with duplicates was the user who
shows up last when all the account login names are sorted.

Local fix

  • Look in the account able for duplicates knowing that would be
only the last in alphabetical order (upper case before lower
case) and manually run resets on those users with notes.ini
NTS_KEEP_FOLDER_IDS_ON_RESET set to false (and then set back to
true if it was true before; true is the default).

Problem summary

  • If the last entry lexographically is a duplicate it may be
skipped in the repair and show options of DBAccountsCheck tell
    command.

Problem conclusion

  • The IBM Traveler server has been updated to handle this
    scenario correctly.
