Error description

  • Not a very common scenario, but did find during internal testing
when syncing an Apple device with native Calendar application.

    - Add a user to a repeating invitation.
    - Remove the user from the repeating invitation.
    - Add the user back to the repeating invitation.

At this point the user should have a ghosted entry on the device
for the repeating event, however the user was only seeing the
first meeting in series ghosted, the other events were not shown
until the meeting was accepted by the user.

Local fix

  • Accept the meeting and it will show correctly.

Problem summary

  • Not a common scenario and only seen on Apple native Calendar
application when only using ghosting view and not accepting
    meetings.

Problem conclusion

  • The IBM Traveler server has been updated to handle this scenario
correctly when working with the native Calendar application on
    iOS devices.

Temporary fix
