APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Meeting ghost is not getting deleted from client on decline from
server (Notes, iNotes, etc) and the Notes preference to 'remove
notices from inbox when processed' is enabled.
This happens for meetings that were not previously accepted.

Local fix

  • User could change Notes calendar preference to leave meeting
notices in inbox even after they have been processed, but this
is not the recommended preference value.
User can also decline the ghost from the device calendar.

Problem summary

  • The ghosted entry should be removed from the mobile device when
    declined from the Notes client.

Problem conclusion

  • The IBM Traveler server has been updated to handle this scenario
    correctly.
