LO87916: IOS VERSE BADGE COUNT ON THE HOME SCREEN REPORTING TOO MANY UNREAD MAILS WHEN THE USER HAS MULTIPLE DEVICES

The iOS Verse app badge count on the home screen app icon may be higher than the count of unread mails that are actually synced to the device (as seen when the app is open and on the home screen app icon immediately after closing the app and before an APNS push message from the server changes it again). This happens when all of the following are true: 1. The user has multiple devices syncing. 2. One of the user's devices is using the iOS Verse app with push enabled. 3. The device from #2 has a mail filter that is smaller than the mail filter on at least one other device. 4. There are unread mails in the Inbox that are outside the filter for the device from #2 but inside the filter for at least one of the other devices. 5. The device from #2 has enabled the badge count in Notifications for the iOS Verse app. The problem is the mails from #4 that shouldn't be included in the count but erroneously are being included.
Workaround is to open the Verse app which will then sync and update the badge count to the correct number again.
Not a common scenario but unread badge count could be incorrect in IBM Verse application on iOS when syncing multiple devices with different mail filter settings.
The IBM Traveler server has been updated to handle this scenario correctly.
