LO87612: EMAIL BODY MISSING ON DEVICE DUE TO UNRECOGNIZED MIME CHARACTER SET
Direct links to fixes
Closed as program error.
When syncing certain MIME documents to a Traveler device (when NTS_MIME_NATIVE_PROCESSING is enabled on the server), parts of the body or the entire body may be missing. This problem occurs when the character set used in the text/plain or text/html section of the MIME document is not recognized by the Domino APIs that get the character set ID information, and cause these APIs to return an error. Previously Traveler would stop processing a MIME part if the character set was not recognized, which prevented the content from being added to the message being synced to the device. We have added code to allow the server to continue processing the MIME part in this case and simply allow the client to handle the character set, even if Domino did not recognize it.
This problem only seen when the document in question is in a character set not recognized by the Domino server which is not very common.
The IBM Traveler server was updated to sync the document to mobile device expecting that it will recognize the document character set.
This fix will be included in IBM Traveler 22.214.171.124 and all later releases. See this technote for the latest release information. http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24019529
