LO86140: DEVICE WITH UNLIMITED MAIL FILTER HAD ALL MAIL BUT NOW ONLY HAS 30 DAYS WHICH IS ANOTHER DEVICE'S FILTER LIMIT
Direct links to fixes
Closed as program error.
A user had multiple devices. One device was set to unlimited mail and had all the mails going back to the beginning of time. Another device was to set 30 days of mail. At some point, the user noticed that the device with the mail filter set to unlimited still showed the filter to be unlimited but only had 30 days of mail (the rest of the mail that was there older than 30 days old was now missing on the device). The user dump still showed the filter to be unlimited (rather than it really being changed to 30 days somehow). The "some point" was when the user was load balanced from one Traveler server to another, so this is only applicable to an HA Traveler configuration.
Multiple devices with different filter windows. One set to 30 days one set to unlimitted. Occasionally the one set to unlimitted will only show 30 days worth of mail.
The IBM Traveler server has been updated to resolve this issue.
This fix will be included in IBM Traveler Server 188.8.131.52 and all later releases. For the latest available maintenance level please see this technote: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24019529
