APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In certain scenarios, a user who hits the "Object has been
removed or recycled" exception will not be able to continue
syncing until Traveler is reinstalled or the user record is
deleted. The error will be present in the error log as
"Exception Thrown: Notes Exception : Object has been removed or
    recycled"

Local fix

  • Delete the user record and then have the user reinstall Traveler
on their device - this workaround may only be temporary.

Problem summary

  • In certain scenarios, if a user would get a "Object has been
removed or recycled" exception in the error logs, they may be
unable to sync until the Traveler client is reinstalled or
    record is deleted.

Problem conclusion

  • The Notes Traveler Server was updated to allow the user to
continue synching even if hitting this exception.
