Error description

  • After Domino 901 upgrade the web server TCP/IP & SSL settings
may get reset to defaults which can allow anonymous requests to
server. Traveler administration UI will not allow anonymous
users to access the traveler data. Some environments may see
    this message

"The TravelerAdmin data service must be enabled on the Domino
    HTTP
server to use the Notes Traveler administration client. Enable
    the
    service and try again."

Local fix

  • Set anonymous to NO and set Username/Password to Yes under web
    server security settings

Problem summary

  • Traveler Web Administration does not allow Anonymous access
which is expected. In domino 901 the HTTP server may not
challenge the user for credentials before getting to the Web
Admin so a change is needed to ensure the user has logged in
    properly.

Problem conclusion

  • Notes Traveler server has been update to ensure the user logs in
properly before attempting to access the web admin. Previously
the user may have simply recieved access denied without ability
    to login.

Temporary fix
