LO78924: USING INOTES TO SEND MAIL TO ALL MEETING INVITEES RESULTS IN PREVENT COPY MESSAGE ON TRAVELER DEVICE
Closed as program error.
If the organizer of a meeting uses the iNotes calendar owner action to "Send a message to invitees", then a mail message will be sent to all attendees to the meeting. However, if the meeting attendee tries to read this message on their Traveler device, the message is flagged as a Prevent Copy message and can only be read by Traveler Companion on an Apple device, and will not be able to be read on other devices that do not support Domino Prevent Copy. This does not happen if you use a Notes client to perform the same action, just the iNotes client. A fix will be provided with this APAR to repair the issue.
Use a Notes client to perform the Send message to invitees action.
This problem was only seen using iNotes to "Send a message to invitees" action. This message was mistakenly identified as a message that had been marked as Prevent Copy.
The Notes Traveler server was updated to correctly identify the message sent from iNotes.
This fix is included in Notes Traveler 9.0.1 IF4 and 184.108.40.206 IF5 and all future releases. For the latest Notes Traveler maintenance release information please see this technote: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24019529
