LO78825: CORPORATE LOOKUP DOES NOT WORK FROM ANDROID DEVICES.
Closed as program error.
Customer reported that after upgrading Android devices and Notes Traveler to 9.0.1 IF2 levels, corporate lookup stopped working using Android. The problem only occured at or later than 9.0.1 IF2 code level and only when using cell carrier network on the device such as AT&T. Although the problem is certainly severe, it does not seem to be wide spread. The carrier network in this case is modifying the request header which is causing the issue. Testing in several other environments did not see this problem. This APAR will be used to put in a work around for this scenario.
Customer found that corporate lookup did not work for Android devices after upgrading the server to 9.0.x. What was found was the customer's phone provider was adding an accept header to all communication from the device. This header unfortunately was tripping up the server and causing it to send an older style corporate lookup response that the device did not understand.
The Notes Traveler server has been updated to be more tollerent of different Accept headers even if unexpected. There was no change needed on the device client.
This fix is included in Notes Traveler 9.0.1 IF4 and 184.108.40.206 IF5 and all future releases. For the latest Notes Traveler maintenance release information please see this technote: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24019529
