Error description
"File does not exist" when Notes is launched by .ndl file if file path contains DBCS. Steps to reproduce: 1. For example, open mail database using Lotus Notes client. 2. Select a mail document. 3. Select "Edit Copy As - Document Link". 4. Lunch Notepad. 5. Paste (Ctrl + V) data in Notepad. 6. Save the text document as "test.ndl". 7. Open Explorer and select "test.ndl". 8. Click right button of the mouse. 9. Select "Open With". 10. Set notes.exe and select "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file". 11. Click "OK". 12. Close Lotus Notes client. 13. Double click "test.ndl". 14. Confirm that Lotus Notes client is launched and the mail document you copied at step 3 is opened. 15. Close Lotus Notes Client. 16. Change the name of "test.ndl" to the name that is contains DBCS, or, put "test.ndl" in the directory which name contains DBCS. 17. Double click "test.ndl". 18. Then, Lotus Notes client is launched but "File does not exist" with garbled characters is displayed.
