A failure in collecting analytics debug information for a proxy policy sending a SOAP request and getting a backside connection error causes no response to be returned to the API client.

Problem summary
Requests from the test tool gather debug information to be placed into the analytics record for the transaction. If the request payload was XML, the request payload that was being placed into the debug analytics data would only have the document's text node values, not the XML document structure. The formatting of the analytics data was not in a form as expected in the error processing code which was causing an exception to occur. <span style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)"> As a result, t</span>he client would not see any error response payload indicating the cause of the error.
Problem conclusion
