LI81027: MAP MISSING XML OUTPUT WITH A COMPLEX CIRCULAR REFERENCING SCHEMA

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The optimized schema algorithm would not generate the proper
  schema when a schema definition was encountered in a circular
  manner and was referenced by multiple XML elements.  Only the
  first usage of this schema would produce the correct XML
  schema, thus mappings made to the subsequent XML elements would
  not be in the schema and would not be output.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• When using the optimized schema algorithm in producing the XML
  schema from the swagger type definitions, the definition being
  cached was of the leaf circular definition and not the parent
  definition.  When a subsequent element required the same
  definition, the cached schema for that definition was
  incomplete.
  

Problem conclusion

• <span style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">A fix will be
  delivered in the API Connect 5.0.8.8 GA,
  5.0.8.7-iFix</span><span style="background-color:rgb(255, 255,
  255)"> and 2018.4.1.8 GA releases.</span>
