LI80868: SAVING "INFO" OR "SCOPE" IN THIRD PARTY OAUTH PROVIDER UI RETURNS BASIC AUTHENTICATION PASSWORD SET TO '********

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Saving "info" or "Scope" in Third Party OAuth Provider UI
  returns Basic authentication password set to '********
  Here the steps:
  1. Login in APIM and select Resource->OAuth Provider and create
  "Create Third Party OAuth Provider"
  2. Select the Gateway Type : "DataPower API Gateway" when
  create the "Third Party OAuth Provider"
  3. Activate "Web developer" in browser
  Add password "pippo" and click finish.
  In network->params you see user and password "pippo" for the
  Basic authentication for the endpoint
  4. If in the endpoint you click the button save without to
  change anything the password is not showed.
  5. If you go in Info or Scopes and you click save button
  without to modify anything you see, with "Web developer" in
  browser, that the password is passed as parameters to a PATCH
  and this could cause to overwrite a value in the database with
  *****
  Issue founded in 2018.4.1.4
  

Local fix

• Using CLI to update third party OAuth provider.
  

Problem summary

• Updating third party OAuth provider in Info and Endpoints page
  will cause password being overwriting with `********` if
  password presents.
  

Problem conclusion

• Fixed in 2018.4.1.6.
