LI80747: API CONNECT GATEWAY SERVICE GOES TO PENDING STATE USING ENCRYPTED PRIVATE KEY

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• While configuring a API Connect Gateway Service for APIC
  2018.4.13, if we use an id_cred which has a private key
  encrypted by a password for the Gateway Peering object. The
  Gateway Peering object comes up , but the API Connect Gateway
  Service goes into a pending state.
  

Local fix

• Please use a private key which isn't encrypted by a password.
  

Problem summary

• <span style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">Using password
  protected key for the SSL communication in a Gateway Peering
  object that is referenced by an Api Connect Gateway Service
  object will cause the </span>API Connect<span
  style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)"> Gateway Service to
  stay in a pending state and never transition to an up
  state.</span>
