APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Using the assembly editor through the API-Manager of the new
2018 APIC version, the TLS Profile editor doesn't allow to use
a dynamic API property as information. The information to be
used is restricted as a combo-box and doesn't allow writing.
One workaround we tried was to edit the swagger directly but
when opening the assembly editor those manual changes are lost.

Local fix

  • edit the source view and use any value you want for the tls
profile and as long as you do not modify that select box in the
ui, the value for the TLS profile will remain the same even
though it does not appear in the ui.

Problem summary

  • TLS Editor does not allow users to enter an API property as a
TLS Profile.

Problem conclusion

  • Fix included in API Connect 2018.4.1.3
