Error description

  • APIC 2018 management node [appliance & not Container] upgrade
from 4.1.0 to 4.1.1 does not completes in a single node setup
without internet connection.
We had to do a apic lock && apic unlock to make the upgraded
system back to completely up state.

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • When upgrading from V2018.4.1.0 to V2018.4.1.1 docker images
that are a part of the upgrade package are not loaded into the
local docker instance. If the OVA being upgraded does not have
internet connectivity the cluster will not be formed as it will
not be able to find the required images.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • This fix is targeted for inclusion in IBM API Management fixpack
V2018.4.1.2
