Error description

  • Developer Portal does not send notifications via email server.
After creating/configuring a developer portal site, there is no
email sent, no link to set the password for the portal admin
account.

  • Consumer organization owners do not receive emails sent from the
Developer Portal.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The Developer Portal v2018.4.1.2 and previous does not support
self-signed certificates for SMTP servers.  A CA signed
certificated must be used.  A possible workaround is to use an
SMTP proxy.

Fix targeted for release in v2018.4.1.3
