Error description

  • In case NFS Server running on RedHat 6.3 or later with NFS
    client running on a AIX6.1 the compilation on the client might
    fail with message:
    
    Project write-lock acquired.
    
    To be able to handle 64-bit inodes from Linux NFS server. , the
    compiler needs to call opendir64(), closedir64(), and
    readdir64().

Problem summary

  • The C++ FE calls opendir(), closedir(), and readdir().  These
    calls cannot handle 64-bit inodes from RHEL5.9/RHEL6.3 NFS
    servers.  As a result, compilation fails on file systems
    mounted from these servers with ENOENT.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The problem had been fixed.
