  • Unnecessary load/store operations are performed when loading a
    value to be used in a cast to a DFP value, specifically
    involving the dcffixq instruction:
    
       (_Decimal128)(*example);
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    Extra load/store instructions when loading an integer value
    into a DFP register in a function via casting.
    
    USERS AFFECTED:
    Users of decimal floating point.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The issue was resolved and the unnecessary instructions are no
    longer present.
