Problem summary
When you use external APIs, and the user calls the close task and reassign task at the same time, the reassign task reopens the closed task.
Problem conclusion
A fix that ensures the task in correct state before reassigning the task will be included in a future release of IBM BPM. A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.5.7.0 CF2017.06.
