APAR status

Error description

  • There are two types of error that may occur:
    1. Sometimes after creating a new report and successfully
    generating the request page, you receive a message that the
    request page has not been generated.
    2. Sometimes when opening a request page, the application hangs
    and the following error appears in the log:

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Install a fresh instance of Maximo.
    2. Start the server and update reporttools.properties to use
    the landlord tenant code (00 or MTM)
    3. Import all reports.
    4. Change the tenant code to IBMNA and repeat.
    5. Log in as wilson/wilson/00 and generate all request pages in
    Report Admin.
    6. Log in as wilson/wilson/IBMNA and create a new report in
    Report Admin (no need to import a report design).
    7. Generate all request pages.  You will receive a message "the
    request pages were generated".
    8. Preview your new report.  You will receive a message "unable
    to open the report because the request page is not generated."
    9. Restart the server and log in as wilson/wilson/IBMNA (it is
    important that this be the first tenant who logs in and
    accesses report dialogs).  You should now be able to open the
    request page.
    10. Add another new report and generate the request page.  This
    time the dialog should be available immediately.
    11. Log in as wilson/wilson/00 and attempt to open any report
    list or request page.  You should observe the behavior descibed
    in #2 above.
